Kiowa District Healthcare offers onsite Physical Therapy services on an outpatient and inpatient basis. We offer individualized care plans designed to suit each patient’s specific goals and will provide the highest level of skilled care in our region. We are staffed with a full time Physical Therapist's, Lana Smith, PT, Kate Thompson, DPT, and Physical Therapist Assistant, Brooke Molz, PTA.  Services are available Monday through Friday by appointment. We gladly accept most major insurance plans with a written prescription from your doctor.

Meet Our Team

Lana Smith, PT 

Lana grew up in rural North Dakota and graduated from Rugby High School. She attended South Dakota State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. She then went on to complete her Master of Physical Therapy Degree at Wichita State University.

Lana began working in an outpatient physical therapy setting in the Wichita area, and did so for 11 years.  Lana enjoys treating a wide variety of diagnoses, but more specifically enjoys treating shoulder and knee injuries.

Lana and her family moved to Kiowa in 2013. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors spending time with their horses.

Kate Thompson, DPT 

Kate is from Eastern Iowa and graduated from Hempstead High School in 2008. Later she attended Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa and graduated with her bachelor's degree in biology in 2012. Soon after, she began her master’s degree at Clarke University and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Prior to Kiowa District Healthcare, Kate worked at a rural Critical Assess Hospital for 7 years in Illinois.

In her free time, she enjoys rodeo and traveling.

Brooke Molz, PTA 

Brooke grew up in Sublette, KS and is a 2004 graduate of Sublette High School.  Following high school, Brooke attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology.

Brooke then attended Colby Community College in Colby, KS in pursuit of her Physical Therapist Assistant license. Brooke has been in the physical therapy field for the last 7 years in various settings.

Brooke and her husband have one son along with two loving pets.  Brooke enjoys anything outdoors, family/friends, traveling and shopping.
